FDIC Makes Public January Enforcement Actions

No Administrative Hearings Scheduled for March 2020

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) today released a list of orders of administrative enforcement actions taken against banks and individuals in January. There are no administrative hearings scheduled for March 2020.

The FDIC issued 18 orders in January 2020. The administrative enforcement actions in those orders consisted of two consent orders; one civil money penalty; three removal and prohibition orders; eight section 19 orders; three terminations of consent orders and cease and desist orders; and one order terminating prompt corrective action.

Enforcement Actions


Congress created the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in 1933 to restore public condence in the nation's banking system. The FDIC insures deposits at the nation's banks and savings associations, 5,177 as of December 31, 2019. It promotes the safety and soundness of these institutions by identifying, monitoring and addressing risks to which they are exposed. The FDIC receives no federal tax dollarsinsured nancial institutions fund its operations.
