Position: Regional Sales Director - Multi-State Territory

Overview

We are seeking a results-driven and highly motivated Regional Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in a multi-state territory. As the Regional Sales Director, your key responsibilities will be to drive new business growth, expand our market presence, and foster strong relationships with existing clients to ensure successful renewal agreements. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in cross-selling additional products and services to our established client base, maximizing their value and further solidifying our position as their trusted partner. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the bank and credit union industry, including but not limited to industry trends, issues, challenges, as well as operations within a financial institution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful sales leadership, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers. Your strategic vision and dedication will be instrumental in propelling our company's growth and success in the financial services market. In this remote position, expect approximately 30% travel for industry events, meetings with prospects/clients, and company gatherings.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting potential new clients and market segments on a multi-state level; conduct research to understand client needs, industry trends, and the overall financial institution competitive landscape; and develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage existing client relationships by fostering solid rapport with key decision-makers at prospective clients; understanding client needs, pain points and objectives while providing customized solutions; and providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to contract finalization.
  • Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contracts for presentation to potential clients in order to secure new business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of sold solutions.
  • Analyze market data and gather insights to identify opportunities and fine-tune sales strategies.
  • Share market intelligence with internal teams to support product development and marketing efforts.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and revenue projections.
  • Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics to track sales activities, analyze data, and drive performance.
  • Record, update and maintain CRM with relevant and timely client and prospect interactions, sales leads, opportunities, and sales-related activities (ex: deal value, expected close dates, sales stages, and forecasting probabilities).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, communication, or a related field and/or a minimum of 5+ years of experience working at a bank or credit union.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the retail banking industry, including products, services, processes, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Preferably, 5+ years of experience in a client-facing role in the fintech industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30% of the time to attend industry events, meet with prospects, clients, partners, and company team members.
  • A dedicated, quiet, and private workspace to perform work duties when working remotely. The workspace must be free from distractions and have a stable internet connection to support virtual video and phone communication for collaboration with colleagues, prospects, and clients.
